Chud the Builder, a Tennessee livestreamer accused of posting racist online content, is now facing attempted murder charges after authorities say he shot a man outside a courthouse in Clarksville.
Chud the Builder, real name Dalton Eatherly, appeared in court Friday morning after prosecutors accused him of opening fire during an altercation with Joshua Fox outside the Montgomery County Courthouse on May 13.
According to an arrest warrant, Chud allegedly turned toward Fox in what investigators described as a “bladed stance” before reaching for a firearm during the confrontation. Authorities said Fox was struck several times during the shooting and rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for emergency surgery.

Judge Reid Poland III ordered the streamer be held on a $1.25 million bond during Friday’s hearing.
“Based upon the fact of how many people were in the courtyard over here at the courthouse and the seriousness of all these felonies,” the judge said while explaining the bond amount.
Fox’s mother later described her son as “a loving father of three amazing children.”
Authorities said Chud has a history of posting racist material online, including videos using racial slurs toward Black people and other minorities. Days before the courthouse shooting, he was also arrested in Nashville after allegedly causing a disturbance while livestreaming inside a restaurant.
