Chris Rock will not get his sitdown with Will Smith anytime soon according to reports.
“Chris doesn’t need to talk. This is clearly something that bothers Will more than Chris,” an industry source told People. “Will needs to deal with his issues. Chris is fine.”
A second source reportedly told the outlet that people should take it as a “positive sign” that Rock is able to joke about the experience.
“The fact that he is making jokes about it already is a good thing,” the second source a. “That means he is assessing it. But the stress of the slap and the aftermath has not taken over his life. Quite the opposite.”
“I was fogged out by that point, Smith said about the incident in a video posted to Instagram. “It’s all fuzzy. I’ve reached out to Chris and the message that came back is that he’s not ready to talk, and when he is he will reach out. So I will say to you, Chris, I apologize to you.”
