Two thrill seeking Chicago teenagers died on IG Live in one of the platform’s craziest videos to date. In the video, the teens carjacked a Rolls Royce and had a high speed police chase – which ended with them drowning in the river, Media Take Out confirmed.
Much of the IG Live is too violent to show, but Media Take Out obtained some footage of the teens laughing and joking around while inside the $350,000 stolen car. Look:
According to Chicago police, the IG Livestream came to a screeching halt after two teenagers fatally leapt into the river, Media Take Out confirmed.
The police chase began around 4:40 a.m. when officers learned of an armed carjacking north of downtown Chicago.
According to reports, five teenagers had carjacked a white Rolls Royce and went Live while doing it.
Officers then spotted the luxury car and tailed the white Rolls Royce for about thirty miles south until the teens abandoned the car and hopped into a black Infiniti. The Infiniti crashed about ten miles further south, and police caught three of the teens. The other two jumped into the Little Calumet River to avoid arrest, and drowned.
The Chicago Police Department Marine Units were called in around 5 a.m to find the teens. They trolled the waters and found them, authorities said, but to no avail. The two teens were taken to the hospital where they were pronounced dead.
The identities of the suspects have not yet to be confirmed to Media Take Out.
