Drill rapper FBG Cash was shot and killed in Chicago on Friday.
The rapper, real name Tristian Hamilton and a 29-year-old woman, were inside a vehicle on the 1600 block of West 81st on the city’s south side. At around 5am, a black, four-door sedan pulled up on them and fired shots.
Cash was struck multiple times in his body. The woman was shot in her left arm and upper back. They were taken to the hospital and the rapper died almost 3 hours after being shot. The woman is still alive but in serious condition.
FBG Cash was part of the Chicago drill rap group Fly Boy Gang. FBG Duck, one of the crew’s now popular members, was fatally shot in a targeted gang shooting in 2020.
In April, Cash denied rumors that he had been involved in Duck’s killing, calling it a “crazy internet rumor.”
The most recent music video from FBG Cash, titled “Intro,” came out just two weeks ago.
