Chet Hanks Says His Drug Habit Was So Bad That “Cokeheads” Told Him To “Chill”

Lyndon Abioye |

Chet Hanks is speaking out above his past drug abuse and says that it used to be so bad that even hardcore drug addicts told him to slow down.

“The drug I had the most problem with was just f-cking coke, dude,”he said on a recent episode of Bradley Martyn’s Raw Talk podcast. “I’m a f-cking cokehead, straight-up.”

He says his addiction was so aggressive that he used to heavily identify with Al Pacino’s Tony Montana in 1983’s Scarface.

“I would go do coke with the cokeheads,” he continued, “and they would be telling me, like, ‘Yo, chill, bro. Wait a second. Give it like 15 minutes.’ I couldn’t get enough of that.”

Chet says that while he was a teenager, he says that his parents, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, staged an intervention.

“I wake up in the morning, it’s 4 o’clock in the morning and there’s two huge f-ccking dudes standing at the foot of my bed, looking at me. And they go, ‘You’re coming with us.'”
