Charrisse Jackson Jordan is addressing the public’s reaction to comments made by fellow cast member Ashley Darby about her adult son.
Charrisse responded to a fan online who questioned Ashley’s decision to tell Charrisse that she shared a kiss with her son, Jackson Jordan, on camera. Charisse seemed to laugh it off but viewers were surprised, feeling that Ashley crossed the line.
In her reply, Charrisse acknowledged that she now understands why the moment was viewed as disrespectful.
“You make a valid point. I can see the disrespect now,” Charrisse wrote. “At the time of filming, I didn’t believe it.”
She explained that her initial reaction was shaped by disbelief rather than dismissal, adding that hindsight has shifted her perspective. Charrisse also emphasized that reality television often blurs genuine relationships. “One thing I do know for certain is that there are no real friendships in this business,” she said.
In a follow-up comment, Charrisse expanded on why she chose not to react strongly during filming.
“No matter how I respond, people will take issue,” she wrote. “I have not been edited to represent my real personality over the years.”
Charrisse, who is 60, said her current approach to appearing on The Real Housewives of Potomac is more relaxed.
“At this point, I just want to pop in and have fun with this group of ladies,” she shared. “I don’t mind meaningful conversations, but flipping out just for cameras over fake or petty issues is not my thing.”
