Charleston White is denying that he assaulted his girlfriend after his latest arrest in Florida.
The 49-year-old comedian spoke out in a video shared on social media after being booked Saturday, September 12, on a misdemeanor battery charge in Broward County.
“I did not put my hands on a woman,” said White.
Instead, he claimed the dispute began after he took back expensive gifts he had purchased, including designer purses, shoes and other items he valued at roughly $50,000 to $60,000. White alleged that his girlfriend later returned to the home angry and that the two had an altercation. He also claimed he had multiple witnesses who could support his account.
“According to the law, we both should have went,” he claimed, referring to the arrest.

White was taken into custody by the Hollywood Police Department and booked on one count of touch or strike/battery, according to records reviewed by Complex. The case remains pending.
He also thanked the officers who handled his arrest and declared himself innocent.
“They kept it a misdemeanor,” White said. “I ain’t lost yet in the criminal justice system, and I don’t plan on losing now. Not guilty!”

White was arrested in Texas in February 2025 on two aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges, which he later said were dropped. In October 2024, he was arrested on an animal cruelty charge and two aggravated assault counts after an alleged pepper-spraying incident involving a cat.
The controversial comedian recently made headlines for his commentary on Lil Durk’s murder-for-hire trial, predicting the rapper would be convicted and wagering $10,000 on a guilty verdict. He also accused Durk of “snitching” through his defense strategy. After Durk was acquitted, White turned his anger toward DJ Akademiks, telling him, “You the reason he got away.”
