Charlamagne Tha God weighed in on the raids carried out on Diddy’s homes last month.
The Brilliant Idiots co-host says he feels bad for moguls like Diddy’s who have fallen after being accused of heinous crimes.
“This is a f-cking raid,” he said. “I don’t know, man, I just don’t like it. I don’t like it because it’s sad. How many peoples’ legacies have we watched burn to the ground? From Russell Simmons, Diddy …”
Homeland Security Investigations raided Diddy’s homes and seized his phones from his home in Miami before he was scheduled to depart for a trip to the Bahamas. The raids in his LA and Miami homes were connected to allegations of sex trafficking and sexual assault and the solicitation and distribution of illegal narcotics and firearms.
Charlamagne admitted he has mixed emotions.
“It’s just one emotion? Y’all all lying to yourselves if you say, ‘Yeah good for them, f-ck them.’ These guys f-cking provided the soundtrack to our lives. They contributed to the culture in real ways before we knew any of this sh-t. You have feelings, you have mixed emotions.”
