Charlamagne Tha God is clarifying his comments about Meek Mill after the rapper fired back online.
The exchange began during a recent episode of the Brilliant Idiots, when Charlamagne said he believes Meek’s public image never fully recovered after his feud with Drake.
Meek quickly responded on Instagram, listing a string of successful songs and features released after the feud.
“Since Drake beef I drop tap 3x platinum… peta double platinum,” Meek wrote. “Keep me out this weak a** sh*t.”
He also accused Charlamagne of contributing to a false narrative about his career. Charlamagne addressed the backlash on The Breakfast Club, making it clear that he was not attacking the Philly rapper.
“I would only talk through the music, because every single time Meek posts, the internet turns it into a joke,” he said.
Charlamagne added that he actually agrees with Meek that the criticism around him has gone too far.
“The propaganda against Meek is strange,” he said. “And it started with that battle.”
