Charlamagne Tha God says Mark Curry cannot keep blaming bad deals on everybody else.
The Breakfast Club co-host weighed in after Curry, a former Bad Boy Records artist, complained about what he says he received for appearing in 50 Cent’s Netflix documentary Sean Combs: The Reckoning.
“The reason I don’t even want to hear this audio is because if you keep getting got by people, it’s you,” said Charlamagne said in a recent episode of the show. “If you keep signing bad contracts and bad deals, it’s you.”
Curry has claimed he received only $69 for his participation in the four-part series and said he supplied sources without receiving credit from 50 Cent, who served as an executive producer.
Charlamagne stopped short of calling Curry “dumb,” but called the alleged payment “crazy” and suggested the rapper find a “better” attorney or manager before making future deals.

“You don’t get, you know, what you’re supposed to get,” Charlamagne continued. “You get what you negotiate.”
Curry has pushed back against critics asking why a lawyer didn’t review his agreement, adding that working on The Reckoning turned out to be “worse” than being signed to Bad Boy.
50 Cent responded by trolling Curry online and joking about sending him money via Cash App.
Curry built his career as a rapper and songwriter signed to Bad Boy Records. Since leaving the label, he has continued to speak publicly about his experiences inside Diddy’s music empire.
