Thomar Latrell Simmons, the boyfriend of the Carlee Russell – the Alabama woman who disappeared from a highway, causing a frantic manhunt before mysteriously reappearing at home two days later, appears to have unfollowed his girlfriend, and he’s apparently wiped all trace of her from his social media, Media Take Out has learned.

He’s also unfriended Carlee on social media.

Thomar’s Facebook page, which up until a few days ago, was filled with glamorous photos of him and Carlee Russell smiling together, now is bare – without any pics of his 25-year-old nursing student girlfriend.

Or should we say ex-girlfriend.

Thomar’s page included a list which claimed that Carlee was “fighting for her life for 48 hours” during the time she was missing.

While no one knows exactly where Carlee was – if she wasn’t kidnapped. But there are a growing chorus of social media posts – from people who know Carlee – which suggest that she may have been with a male companion for the 48 hours that she was missing.

The change came just a few hours after police revealed they had found internet searches where Carlee had looked up a movie about kidnaps, whether she was too old to be the subject of an Amber Alert and the price of bus tickets to Nashville in the days before her disappearance.

“She was literally fighting for her life for 48 hours, so until she’s physically & mentally stable again she is not able to give any updates or whereabouts on her kidnapper at this very moment,” Thomas wrote in the since-deleted Sunday post.

Carlee Russll’s Russell’s disappearance prompted a huge search and gained national attention amid fears she had been kidnapped.

Crime Stoppers of Metro Alabama reportedly raised over $63,000 in reward money toward the effort.

Russell showed up two days later, with surveillance footage showing her walking alone on the sidewalk toward her family’s house. Her family called 911 and police arrived to find her “conscious and speaking,” despite dispatch reports that she was “unresponsive but breathing.”

Russell was taken to a hospital, where she was treated and released. She agreed to a single interview with police, but had not cooperated with their requests for a second interview, officials said Thursday.
