Cardi B hopped onto Spaces to rip Joe Budden for his criticism of her music releases and album delays.
On his show, Budden joked that everybody wants Cardi back in the studio, including her husband, Offset, who probably wants her to get a “job” because she’s around the house too much.
“Joe Budden is obsessed … criticizing me up and down. Sh-t is really getting me frustrated because it’s like, bro, leave me the f-ck alone. I don’t understand this about Joe Budden, right? First, you always talking about you got a source from Atlantic [Records] that be telling you about my album, and that’s a f-cking lie. First things first, you said that if Atlantic don’t drop my album, they going to f-cking drop it for me,” she said in part of her rant.
She continued, “They can’t do that…I do not send my music to nobody. There’s only two people that have possessions of my music, and that’s me and my engineer. Nobody that personally work with me. I have a manager … He don’t have none of my music.”
Budden has often spoke highly of Cardi on his show, but Cardi says his concern for her in ingenuine and that if he really wanted to hear new music from her, he would visit her in the studio.
“You’re not thirsty for my album. You thirsty to criticize it. You thirsty to kick it down…You never compliment me. When’s the last time you compliment me? You were so thirsty to f-cking interview a b-tch You call it interesting. A b-tch that almost f-cking made me go to suicide in 2019.”
Budden was in the Spaces listening to Cardi’s rant. He vowed on X never to speak on Cardi again in the future.
