Candace Owens says she regrets her decision to vote for Donald Trump just five months into the Republican president’s second term.
“He’s been a chronic disappointment. And I feel embarrassed that I told people to go vote for him because this wasn’t going to happen, and it is happening,” she said on “Piers Morgan Uncensored.”
Owens has been giving Trump the side-eye over several of his policies, but it was his decision to wade into the Israel-Iran conflict and order B-2 bombers from the United States to strike three of Iran’s nuclear facilities that was the final straw.
“This was not Trump’s decision; it was [Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s] decision,” she said. “And that is the reason that he did it. We’re very aware that Israel is dictating our foreign policy, and we’d now like that to stop.”
Owens added, “I don’t know where we go from here, but this is not the candidate I voted for.”
