For anyone waiting on Cam’ron to walk back into a Dipset reunion like it is 2003 again, he’s telling fans not to hold their breath.
The Harlem icon shut down the idea during a recent appearance on the Do You podcast after hosts Jenny and Shy asked if the rap collective could ever come back together.
“No,” he said. “No, I’m saying, I’ve seen them do Dipset reunion shows without me,” he continued. “I’m just telling you. It’s mad members of Dipset. I’m just saying I wouldn’t be there.”
He then added, “They can all gather up and do the reunion.”
After making his name as a solo artist with albums like Confessions of Fire and S.D.E., he reached a new level with Come Home With Me, which featured the hits “Oh Boy” and “Hey Ma.” He later released Purple Haze, a fan favorite that helped cement his status as one of New York rap’s most colorful voices. Beyond music, Cam became known for his role as Rico in Paid in Full and later found a new lane in sports media with It Is What It Is.
Dipset, also known as The Diplomats, became one of the most recognizable rap crews of the early 2000s, with Cam, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, and Freekey Zekey at its center but the group’s main characters have been beefing for years.
