Cam’ron says he’s to blame for NBA star LaMelo Ball using Cam’s trademark saying, “no homo” during a postgame interview.
Ball was fined $100,000 for using the term after the match between the Charlotte Hornets and the Milwaukee Bucks.
“Yeah, we loaded up—no homo—but that’s what we wanted,” he said to reporters.
“I blame myself. I really do, man,” Cam said on his It Is What It Is podcast with Mase. “I blame the east side of Harlem. You got this in Jefferson Projects probably in 1996 when we were saying this. And before that—what the f-ck? God damn, we did this a long time.”
He continued: “To be honest with you, this is why we started saying ‘pause.’ We used to say what Melo said, but we were like, ‘The people are sensitive, you get fined.’ And that’s why we don’t say it anymore.”
Cam recently went viral for trading shots with LaMelo’s brother, LiAngelo Ball, after Cam mocked him for playing overseas and not for the NBA.
