Cam’ron was asked to weigh in on the Ja Morant situation…and the rapper had an interesting take on the series of events.
“I call it the ‘Gary Coleman Syndrome’. He never played sports, but I call it the Gary Coleman Syndrome. It’s when you get money at a young age, and you got more money than the n-ggas around you, so when the older n-ggas around you got some knowledge, you don’t wanna hear that. You only listen to the n-ggas that be like, ‘Word, you doing the right thing,'” said Cam.
“Ja Morant has more money than everybody in his circle, and a lot of n-ggas is probably being yes men. And the ones who probably telling him the right thing may be like, ‘You get the f-ck out of here, you’re spoiling the fun.’ Because I really love him as a player, but I just don’t understand … You don’t get a $230 million deal to throw up gang signs and brandish guns in the club.”
Morant was suspended for eight games after brandishing a weapon at a nightclub while on livestream. He claims the gun wasn’t his.
