Cam’ron and Mase sided with Drake throughout his beef with Kendrick Lamar, but after Drizzy threw the towel in on “The Heart Part 6,” the Harlem rappers changed their minds.
“I don’t like what Drake dropped last night because it wasn’t bad but I don’t like the way that it ended. It seemed like he was [saying], ‘This is the last one I’m doing,'” said Cam. “You can’t end it when you just want to end it. He’s all, ‘I’m tired of doing this,’ this, that and the third. I just think that you shouldn’t have ended it like that. You gotta keep going.”
On “The Heart Part 6,” Drizzy said he would not be responding even if Kendrick released 100 more songs.
Mase chimed in, “I’m going with Kendrick as well. It seemed like whatever he started out doing, he picked up the speed — pause — and really did what he was supposed to do. I thought the last record that he did [‘Not Like Us’] was the one. He should’ve done it a little bit earlier. I would’ve started with ‘Meet the Grahams’ then I would’ve went into ‘Not Like Us.’ That was crazy. When I heard that, I was like, ‘Oh yeah, it’s gonna be tough.’ That was the one I was expecting.”
Cam said he’s not aq faqn of “Not Like Us.”
