Brittany Cartwright has finally broken her silence after her estranged husband, Jax Taylor, announced his exit from Bravo reality series, The Valley.
“I found out the night before [about Jax’s departure], and I was like, ‘That was a great decision by… everyone,'” she told Andy Cohen on a recent episode of WWHL.
“He’s sober from some things, but not from all things, I’ll just say that,” she went on, alluding to Jax still partaking in some substances.
In a statement to the public, Jaz revealed that his decision to step away came “after an incredibly challenging year and many honest conversations with my team and producers.”
“Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and coparenting relationship,” he continued. “Taking this time is necessary for me to become the best version of myself — especially for our son, Cruz.”
Jax’s exit reportedly came as a shock to the remaining cast members, who fully expected him to begin filming season three.
Brittany says things between her and Jax are still “horrible.”
The Valley‘s season two reunion airs next Tuesday, July 29, at 8/7c on Bravo and streams the following day on Peacock.
