Britney Spears fans hoping for the pop princess to drop another album were told to give up hope by the star.
Britney says she will never drop and album again.
“Just so we’re clear most of the news is trash!!!” the singer wrote on Instagram. “They keep saying I’m turning to random people to do a new album … I will never return to the music industry!!!”

Britney says she only wrote music for fun and also revealed that she has penned over 20 songs for other people over the past two years.
“I’m a ghostwriter and I honestly enjoy it that way!!!” she added.
“For those of you who have read my book, there’s loads that you don’t know about me … I’ve written over 20 songs for other people the past two years !!!”
The singer later deleted the post, but fans expressed their disappointment on social media.
