Britney Spears responded to her son Jayden’s interview which airs later today. In the interview Jayden says the broken relationship could be fixed, defended his grandfather and talked of Brit’s struggle to be a mother to him and his brother.
“[I]t deeply saddens me to know [Jayden’s] outcry of saying I wasn’t up to his expectations of a mother … and maybe one day we can meet face to face and talk about this openly !!!!” Spears wrote on Instagram.
“I think Mom has struggled giving us both attention and showing us equal love & I don’t think she showed enough to Preston and I feel really bad for that,” Jayden Federline says in the interview per Daily Mail. “We’ve both been through so much pressure in the past that this is our safe place now, to process all the emotional trauma we’ve been through to heal, heal our mental state.”
Jayden also reportedly said, “It’s just going to take a lot of time and effort. I just want her to get better mentally. When she gets better I really want to see her again.”
