Britney Spears’ ex-husband, Jason Alexander, was arrested after crashing her wedding by the Ventura Sheriff’s Department on an outstanding warrant.

On Thursday, he rocked up to the singer’s private wedding venue hours before her marriage to Sam Asghari.

“She’s freaking out over this,” a source told PEOPLE.

“So, here’s the inside scoop, guys, of the bull— wedding. Jason Alexander, what’s up,” he said. “My name’s Jason Alexander. Britney invited me here. Britney Spears invited me here. She’s my first wife, my only wife. I’m her first husband. I’m here to crash the wedding.”

Alexander previously pleaded guilty in January to violating an order of protection and aggravated stalking against an unidentified woman. He was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days of probation.

Sgt. Cyrus Alexander was arrested and charged with misdemeanor trespassing, two misdemeanor counts of battery, and a misdemeanor vandalism charge, Zadeh said.

“He was detained, handcuffed and I’m please(d) to report, arrested. Fortunately, Britney is safe,” Mathew S. Rosengart told CNN in a statement. “I’m livid by this security breach and am working closely with law enforcement to ensure he is aggressively prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
