Former Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Brittany “Brit” Easy finally filed her long-rumored federal lawsuit aimed at Bravo and producers following an alleged revenge porn incident that involved veteran cast member Kenya Moore and ultimately sidelined Kenya from filming.
Reports first surfaced in June 2024 that a confrontation at Kenya’s salon included the display of explicit photos allegedly tied to Brit. The moment was filmed for the series, and Kenya was later suspended from production. Brit has consistently maintained that the photos shown were not of her.
Brit submitted her lawsuit on November 20 in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, naming Bravo Media LLC and Truly Original LLC as defendants. In the suit, she alleges that both companies knowingly allowed an incident she describes as humiliating and damaging to be used as storyline material, even as they recognized its severity.
Her complaint states that she was pressured to address the ordeal on camera, including discussing sensitive details about her personal life. Brit argues the defendants were fully aware that the use of the photos crossed ethical and professional boundaries and violated the show’s own policies relating to sexual harassment.
She also accuses them of manipulating her into believing that cooperating on-screen would somehow be beneficial.
The filing further claims producers informed her that Kenya could return for season 17, suggesting Brit would have been expected to film alongside someone she characterizes as her harasser if she wished to continue on the show.
Brit is seeking compensatory damages, including backpay and front pay, along with compensation for emotional distress and the long-term impact she says the incident has had on her life and career. She is also asking that the defendants cover her legal expenses as the case proceeds.
