Days before Amanda Batula and West Wilson confirmed their romance, Bravo was already concerned about the behind-the-scenes at Summer House.
According to a source cited by Deuxmoi, Bravo executives had already been discussing backup plans as fan backlash grew over the alleged relationship.
“As rumors continue to swirl that Amanda Batula and West Wilson are romantically involved, the ripple effect may be bigger than just one storyline,” the source said. The insider claimed the network is “actively and swiftly exploring contingency plans behind the scenes,” with several possible outcomes under consideration depending on how viewers react.
“To be clear: this is NOT a cancellation announcement,” the source added. “It’s simply one of several options being discussed internally, including the potential end of Summer House as we know it.”
The drama had become especially heated because West previously dated Ciara Miller, one of Amanda’s closest friends on the show. Many fans have publicly sided with Ciara as rumors continue to spread.
“Tensions are running high behind the scenes,” the source said. “At this point, no one really knows when things will return to normal again, if ever.”
The controversy comes just months after Amanda and Kyle Cooke announced the end of their marriage. They are currently separated but still together.
Since their relationship went public, West has been romantically connected not only to Ciara but also to two other women, including one he has allegedly been seeing on and off since 2023.
Viewers are threatening to boycott Summer House if West and Amanda return to film.
The scandal is being compared to Bravo’s longtime show Vanderpump Rules, which suffered a devastating blow and ultimate cast shakeup following the #Scandoval backlash.
