Production on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has been put on pause following the heartbreaking death of Robert Cosby Jr..

Sources close to the Bravo series confirm that season seven was in its early stages, with filming expected to begin this week. Those plans have now been postponed as the cast and crew rally around Mary Cosby during an unimaginable loss. She was not actively filming at the time and is not expected to return to cameras anytime soon.

Robert Jr., 23, was found dead in Utah after first responders answered a call about a medical emergency. An official cause of death has not yet been released. In recent years, his struggles with substance use and legal issues played out publicly, and Mary spoke candidly about her fears as a mother.

Following the news, Andy Cohen shared a message of support. “This is every parent’s worst nightmare,” he wrote. “My heart is broken for Mary.”

Fans of the franchise have also flooded social media with condolences. For now, production remains on hold as Mary and her family grieve privately.

A new premiere date for season seven has not been announced.
