Hip hop artist Blueface and his reality star girlfriend Chrisean Rock are expecting their first child together. But Chrisean has not changed her behavior since getting pregnant.
As Media Take Out has reported, Chrisean has been spotted on multiple occasions, smoking marijuana while pregnant.
Last week, a person captured her on video sitting in a car smoking a blunt – before going inside of a nightclub. Chrisean is reportedly four months pregnant. Look:
So what does Blueface think about his girlfriend possibly harming their unborn child with her drug use? Well he doesn’t seem to mind. According to the rapper, women can safely smoke marijuana until their third trimester of pregnancy.
Blueface’s opinion is not supported by science. According the UF Food & Drug Administration, marijuana use during pregnancy can be harmful to your baby’s health. The chemicals in marijuana (in particular, tetrahydrocannabinol or THC) pass through the mother’s system to the baby and may harm the baby’s development.
Although more research is needed to better understand how marijuana may affect the baby during pregnancy, it is recommended that pregnant persons do not use marijuana.
Some research shows that using marijuana while pregnant can cause health problems in newborns, including lower birth weight and abnormal neurological development.
Breathing marijuana smoke can also be bad for the baby. Secondhand marijuana smoke contains many of the same toxic and cancer-causing chemicals found in tobacco smoke. THC, the psychoactive or mind-altering compound in marijuana, may also be passed to infants through secondhand smoke.
