Brooklyn pastor Lamor Whitehead was sentenced to nine years in prison Monday for conning a parishioner’s mother out of her life savings and other heinous scams.

The indictment alleged he conned a woman out of $90,000 after telling her he would buy her a home and renovate it with her cash. Instead, authorities say he bought fancy clothes and other luxury items with the woman’s money.

Whitehead must pay $85,000 in restitution and forfeit $95,000.

“I know you stated you’re remorseful, but I don’t see any remorse for your conduct,” the judge told him in court during sentencing. “You don’t seem to have an appreciation of the impact of your crimes or, in some ways, the facts,” the judge later added.

Whitehead also allegedly extorted a businessman for $5,000 and asked him for a $500,000 loan in exchange for using his influence with New York City mayor Eric Adams, according to the indictment.

“As far as remorse, I’m very remorseful. I hate to see anyone hurt,” Whitehead said in response, later adding, “Your Honor, I am an honorable man.”
