Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith were once seen as the picture of the perfect Black couple. But Jada has officially ended all that with the explosive revelations in her new book.
Media Take Out confirmed that Jada describes what appears to be a very dysfunctional family. In her book, Jada explains that the entire family (including their adult children) takes powerful psychedelic drugs, her and Will have openly cheated, and Jada says that the violent encounter at the Oscars with Chris Rock was unprovoked, because she and Will “weren’t together.”
Now after all this messiness, Black Twitter is calling them the “elevated” version of Chrisean Rock & Blueface. Both Chrisean and Jada both grew up in the hood in Baltimore.
On drug use, Jada explained that Will and herself take the powerful psychedelic drug ayahuasca, so do their now adult children, Willow and Jaden to (taken from People magazine interview):
Friends of her son Jaden mentioned that their dad had gone through an ayahuasca ceremony, where a leader supplies a plant-based psychedelic drug, usually brewed into a tea to drink, and guides the subject through hallucinations.
“Ayahuasca helped me, it gave me a new intimate relationship with myself that I had never had before.” Jada says since the first time she took the drug, “the suicidal thoughts completely went away.” Jada says her husband and children — “as adults” — have also taken ayahuasca.
On Jada being surprised that Will slapped Chris, because she wasn’t even with Will at the time (book excerpt):
It’s not until Will yells from his seat back up at Chris to “keep my wife’s name out your f—in’ mouth,” and then repeats it, that I perceive the gravity of the situation, and that, no, it had not been a skit. Even so, I am unclear on the reason why Will is so upset.
We had been living separate lives and were there as family, not as husband and wife. But when I hear Will yell “wife” in the chaos of the moment, an internal shift of Oh s— . . . I am his wife! happens instantly.
Jada on trying to commit s**cide when she turned 40, despite having a successful career and being married to the biggest star in the world (People interview):
[social_warfare]Jada is aware of how her life looked from the outside, especially about a decade ago. The glamour and the smiles, the mansion, gowns and movie premieres. The “they have it all” of it all. “But, while I was really living the dream, I hit a huge wall — a massive amount of depression. I think that I looked at having outside sources to supplement for the voids that I was feeling inside.”
She said the “voices” were incoming. “‘Just k*ll yourself. You’re not worth anything, you ain’t s—.’ ” Jada began to plot her death. “I started looking for places, cliffs where I could have an accident, because I didn’t want my kids to think that their mother had committed suicide.”
