Yesterday Black Twitter called child protective services on reality star Chrisean Rock, after video leaked on social media showing the new mom incorrectly carrying her child as she shopped in a California Walmart, Media Take Out has learned.
The incident happened outside of Los Angeles. Chrisean was spotted walking through the aisles of the Super Center carrying her 3 week old child in a sling – which is very dangerous for a newborn.
Media Take Out confirmed that the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission advises parents and caregivers to be cautious when using infant slings for babies younger than four months of age.
The federal agency tells new parents that slings can pose two different types of suffocation hazards to babies. In the first few months of life, babies cannot control their heads because of still developing neck muscles, They continue saying that the sling’s fabric can hold the baby in a position that blocks the baby’s breathing and rapidly suffocates a baby within a minute or two.
Media take Out confirmed that at least a dozen concerned social media citizens contacted the Los Angeles child protective services on Chrisean. Media Take Out reached out to the agency for comment, but did not receive word back.
