Jack Harlow is facing fresh backlash following the release of his new album, Monica.
Singer-songwriter Jozzy recently claimed the rapper asked her to work as an uncredited writer after the pair collaborated in the studio. In a video now circulating online, Jozzy said the two had spent the day making music together before Harlow contacted her later that night.
“[He] pretty much wanted me to be a ghostwriter,” she said. According to Jozzy, Harlow told her he did not want anyone to know they had worked together. The songwriter, whose credits include work with SZA, 21 Savage, and Metro Boomin, said the request caught her off guard.
“That s–t hurt me,” Jozzy said. “In my head, I’m like, ‘I’m a hit maker … what the f–k?’”
Jozzy, who received two Grammy nominations in 2024 for her contributions to Beyoncé’s Renaissance and Mary J. Blige’s Good Morning Gorgeous, said she refused.
Singer and song writer Jozzy revealed Jack Harlow requested she not receive credit on work they did together. Jack allegedly suggested she be a ghostwriter.

“I’m not a ghostwriter,” she said. “If the song comes out, I’m letting n—as know I wrote it.”
She added that she and Harlow have not worked together since, though she said she respected that he was honest about what he wanted. The claims arrive days after Harlow sparked debate in a New York Times interview discussing Monica, where he said, “I got blacker.”
“I love Black music,” Harlow said. “I’m hyper-aware of the politics of today.”
Harlow has not publicly responded to Jozzy’s allegations but social media has been dragging him since the clip hit the internet.
