A Texas judge has dismissed Blac Youngsta’s unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon case.
In October 2020, the rapper was arrested following a traffic stop after the vehicle he was riding in drove through a red light. Cops claimed that the rapper, who was seated on the passenger side of the vehicle, had a handgun sitting in between his legs. They claimed the vehicle also smelled like marijuana.
Two other pistols were found in the vehicle and marijuana.

Another man, Marcus Dion Cartwright, was charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon. Two other occupants of the vehicle were not charged.
The rapper’s attorney Carl A. Moore told TMZ that he’s “happy to put this case behind him after dealing with it for nearly four years” and that “the District Attorney’s Office did the right thing by dropping the charge — and, justice has finally prevailed.”
Blac Youngsta is an American rapper from Memphis, Tennessee. He signed a recording contract with fellow Memphis-based rapper Yo Gotti’s record label, Collective Music Group (CMG), in 2015, which entered a joint venture with Epic Records two years later. He is best known for his 2017 single “Hip Hopper” (featuring Lil Yachty) and its follow-up, “Booty,” released the following year—the latter peaked at number 73 on the Billboard Hot 100. Both songs received gold certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and preceded the release of his debut studio album 223 (2019), which peaked at number 42 on the Billboard 200.
