Bill Gates is now divorced from Melinda Gates but has no regrets about their marriage. He says he would do it all over again.
“Every marriage as the kids leave the house will go through a transition. Mine sadly went through this transition called divorce,” he told The Sunday Times.
“But from my point of view it was a great marriage. I wouldn’t have changed it. You know, I wouldn’t choose to marry someone else. I marry Melinda all over again. In terms of my future, I don’t have any plans, but I highly recommend marriage,” he added.
In March, Melinda said Bill Gates’ working relationship with Jeffrey Epstein played a part in their divorce.
“I did not like that he had meetings with Jeffrey Epstein, no. I made that clear to him,” she told Gayle King adding that she met Epstein “exactly one time” because she “wanted to see who this man was.”
“I regretted it the second I walked in the door. He was abhorrent. He was evil personified. My heart breaks for these women,” she said. “I certainly believe in forgiveness, so I thought we had worked through some of that. It wasn’t one moment or one specific thing that happened. There just came a point in time where there was enough there where I realized it just wasn’t healthy, and I couldn’t trust what we had.”
