Big U Could Miss Son’s Funeral Over Alleged Racy Phonecalls To His Side Chick!

Eugene “Big U” Henley’s life behind bars is turning into its own storm of drama as prosecutors fight to stop him from stepping out for his son’s funeral.

A new court filing claims he cannot be trusted outside the facility, even briefly, and officials insist the community would not be safe if he were allowed to leave, per Complex.

The filing hits with a long list of alleged bad behavior, starting with what investigators say was a full-blown phone hustle inside the jail.

According to prosecutors, Big U hopped from one inmate’s phone account to another, racking up hundreds of calls that he was never supposed to make. Other inmates allegedly confirmed their voices for the monitoring system, then handed the phone over so he could talk freely. Officials say he even coached people on what not to say so he could slip under the radar.

A big chunk of those secret conversations was reportedly with a girlfriend, not his wife, which caught investigators’ attention fast. The calls described in the filing range from plotting ways to sneak in racy photos to intimate chats that violated jail rules.

Authorities also say the pair brainstormed a plan for her to sign up for a single paralegal class so she could score special visitation access.

They also accuse Big U of using coded language to pressure co-defendants to stay loyal, of reaching out to a confidential informant, and of discussing raising huge sums of money for legal help, even though he currently has a court-appointed lawyer.

All of this is coming to light at the same time Big U is begging the court to let him attend the funeral of his 34-year-old son, Jabari Henley, who was killed on Halloween. His attorney says the loss has shattered him and that being present for the burial is essential for his grief.

A judge is now deciding whether he will be allowed to go.
