Big Tigger is stepping away from his radio show as he faces criminal charges in Sandy Springs, saying he needs time to focus on his family and allow his attorneys to handle the case.
The longtime media personality announced the decision after his arrest on charges of aggravated battery, battery and third-degree cruelty to children.
“For as long as I’ve been in this industry, my focus has always been to keep the spotlight on the culture and the incredible people I get to interview,” Big Tigger said. “But right now, my personal life is in the public eye and has become the subject of overwhelming speculation and misinformation.”
He said being separated from his son has been especially painful. “Through all of this, what hurts the most is being away from my son,” he continued. “Nothing is more important to me than being a great father.”

According to an arrest affidavit, Big Tigger’s wife, Alicia Brown, told investigators that he shoved her into an office door during a May argument at their home. The affidavit says Brown suffered a deep cut above her left eye that required stitches. Police said the couple’s 13-year-old son was upstairs and heard the incident.
Brown later received a temporary protective order requiring Big Tigger to stay away from her, their home and their children.
Big Tigger said he “unequivocally” denies every allegation and looks forward to clearing his name.
