There’s been a quiet beef growing behind the scenes of Black music …. and yesterday it bubbled over, Media Take Out has learned.
And that “beef” is between R&B superstar Usher and Beyonce.
Yesterday was supposed to be Usher’s big night – where Usher would take over the night with his iover the top Superbowl halftime show. Usher’s show, which featured more than 100 dancers and cost a reported $2M … was absolutely amazing.
But just a few minutes after the show ended, and before people got a chance to rave about Usher on social media, something hampered.
Beyonce surprised the world by dropping two new country music songs, 16 carriages and Texas Hold Em. The songs were dropped just minutes after Usher’s halftime show.
So why did Beyonce do that? It was clearly meant to upstage Usher.
Well Media Take Out did some asking around, and we were pretty shocked with what we heard.
One entertainment insider who knows Beyonce and Usher personally gave her take on what’s happening. She explained, “Beyonce clearly doesn’t like anyone else getting the spotlight. She did the Superbowl twice, and she wanted to make sure that everyone thinks of her and not Usher.”
The insider added, “For someone as talented and as successful as Beyonce is … she can be insecure too.”
Wow …
