Barron Trump is facing a call to testify under oath about his reported contact with Andrew Tate as a House Democrat presses for an investigation into the Tate brothers’ relationships with President Donald Trump’s circle.
Last week, Arizona Rep. Yassamin Ansari asked House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer to examine whether private communications involving Andrew and Tristan Tate influenced administration policy or official action. She also requested subpoenas for Barron, the White House and federal agencies.
“I said what I said. Investigate Barron,” Ansari wrote on X.

Barron, 20, has never publicly addressed the brothers. Reports say he participated in a 2024 video call with Andrew and their mutual acquaintance Justin Waller. The Tates’ attorney has disputed reports of a relationship, calling them “fake news.” Donald Trump Jr. previously described the brothers’ Romanian detention as “absolute insanity.”
The push follows Andrew and Tristan’s July 18 arrests in Miami. Britain is seeking their extradition over allegations that include rape, assault and facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation. Prosecutors have also announced charges involving indecent images of a child and extreme pornography. The brothers have denied wrongdoing.
The White House has said it will not intervene in the extradition fight. The brothers remain in federal custody, with a detention hearing scheduled for Aug. 13.
