ABC weatherman Rob Marciano was banned from “Good Morning America” nearly a year ago for allegedly making a fellow staffer feel uncomfortable. He now says he wants to return.
“He was found to have done something… that was improper, but he was punished for it, and they still haven’t let him return,” an insider told Page Six.
“He made people feel uncomfortable. There was a period where there were some issues, a number of alarming events,” a second source claimed.
Rob joined GMA as a weekend forecaster in 2014 and was named senior meteorologist of ABC News.
A source adds that “GMA” executive producer Simone Swink “still won’t allow him back in [the studio],” because “She’s no nonsense and is very serious. She’s focused on the work and wants to keep [her staff] focused and happy. She’s very protective of her team.”
The source added, “There were times when [Marciano] was very cranky and angry… unsavory behavior on his part. He was pulled off to deal with it and he’s been back.”
