Bankroll Freddie Claims Federal Prison Is ‘CORRUPT’ in New Plea!

Lyndon Abioye |

Bankroll Freddie is asking for help from inside federal prison, saying the conditions at FCI Yazoo City Low have become unbearable.

The rapper, born Freddie Gladney III, posted to Instagram early Sunday, June 28, while serving a 150-month sentence tied to his 2024 conviction on gun and drug charges. In the message, the rapper said he has been kept under a 23-hour lockdown since mid-April, despite a disciplinary charge he says was expunged weeks after he arrived.

He called the treatment “cruel and unusual punishment” and said daily life inside the Mississippi facility has left inmates struggling for food, medical care and stability. The rapper also alleged that “staff are stealing food from the kitchen,” which he said keeps inmates from receiving “proper meals.”

“The entire complex is corrupt,” he wrote. “We need help. What is happening here amounts to cruel and unusual punishment.”

The Arkansas artist also described what he said happened to another inmate who complained about medical symptoms before later dying of a brain aneurysm. “All we deal with is conflict with correctional officers,” he claimed.

Bankroll Freddie’s post also named Fred Chambliss, a former Yazoo City guard who has spoken publicly about the federal prison. Chambliss began working there in 2012 and was later terminated in 2023 after a dispute over overtime pay, according to the account provided.

The rapper is appealing his conviction, including the prosecution’s use of his lyrics and videos and his listed release date is May 18, 2033.
