Bad Bunny is suing a fan after they posted unauthorized footage from a concert on YouTube.

The performance footage was from Bunny’s recent show in Salt Lake City last month. The rapper claims that fan Eric Guillermo Madronal Garrone shared full song performances on his Youtube channel, MADforliveMUSIC.

He says the video footage appeared to be high quality…and not regular concert footage. Bad Bunny says he owns all of the rights to his likeness and concert footage and that the fan is profiting off it.

In his lawsuit, he adds that he was forced to “issue standard takedown notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act — also known as DMCA — demanding YouTube remove Garrone’s videos.”

Garrone did take down the videos but then tried to sue Bad Bunny to allow him to put them back up.

So now Bad Bunny is serving him with an “injunction barring Garrone from posting the footage online, plus either a flat $150,000 for each of the videos posted or any actual damages Bad Bunny can show he suffered from the postings.”
