“The Bachelor” star Matt James and his controversial Rachael Kirkconnell are still together, and their relationship is still going strong, Media Take Out confirmed. The couple spent the week enjoying rides at Disney World in Florida.
The Bachelor season with James, who was the franchise’s first Black Bachelor, devolved into controversy after Rachel’s previous apparently racist behavior came to light and backlash swirled. Rachel, who eventually received the final rose in the season finale, apologized and the couple appeared to be broken up at the “After the Final Rose” post-finale special.
Rachel was criticized for liking Confederate flag-related TikToks and for a photo that appears to show her attending a plantation-themed fraternity formal in 2018. In a statement on her Instagram, she apologized for her past actions calling them “offensive and racist.”
Matt eventually forgave Rachel, and the two are still together and their relationship seems to be as strong as ever. James and girlfriend Rachael are currently on a magical trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
The former Bachelor shared two videos from their holiday to the theme park, as they enjoyed a variety of snacks.
Matt, 31, and Rachael, 26, have already spent two full days at the park, ending their second day on the popular ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
