An Atlanta area mother has been arrested after police say she tried to MURDER all 7 of her kids, and three young children died in a house fire Friday night.
This is one of the most horrific crimes Media Take Out has covered in our 17 year history.
According to police, someone called 911 just before 9:30 p.m. Friday about a domestic disturbance and house fire at a home located Paulding County, outside of Atlanta. The caller said a woman was inside the home attempting to stab the occupants – all children.
Deputies said seven children were inside the home when the fire started. A nine-month-old and a 3-year-old with multiple stab wounds were pronounced dead at the scene, and a 5-year-old died from his injuries after being taken to a nearby hospital.
Media Take Out learned that two other children ages 9 and 11, who apparently leaped out of the boring building, were rushed to local hospitals.
When firefighters arrived at the home, they discovered two young children unresponsive. Police said an infant and another child were found with burns at the top of the stairs inside the home.
Police said two teenagers also jumped out of a second-floor window. One child suffered an ankle injury and the other was not injured.
The mother of the children, identified as 40-year-old Darlene Brister, was arrested after police claim to have found her outside of the home looking delirious, but uninjured.
Their father of the children, Media Take Out has been told, was on his way home from another state and had no idea all of this had happened. When he pulled up to his home and saw the crime scene tape, he immediately jumped out of his car yelling for his babies.
The family has set up a GoFundMe for the remaining children and to bury the two innocent angels:
