Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams filed to divorce her husband Simon, after his name popped up in a scandalous lawsuit alleging fraud, crimes and avoiding deportation.
But Media Take Out has learned that the drama between Simon and Porsha had less to do with any court case … and more to do with MONEY that he felt entitled to.
Media Take Out was first to report that Porsha re-signed to become a member of the Real Housewives of Atlanta last month. As part of Porsha’s new agreement, she will get approximately $2 million a year from Bravo.
Surprisingly, Media Take Out learned that while Simon is expected to film with Porsha – he was NOT being independently paid by Bravo.
And that caused friction between Simon and Porsha.
One insider explained, “Simon wasn’t happy that Bravo wasn’t paying him directly, so he started insinuating that the money Porsha is getting is half his.”
And legally, he may be right. While Porsa and Simon agreed to a prenuptial agreement protecting each of their assets that they acquired during the marriage – the contract was signed during the marriage and therefore not legally subject to the prenup.
The insider added, “I think Simon is going after Porsha’s Bravo contract – which in total could be as much as $10M.”
