Ashanti and Nelly reportedly tied the knot in December and have already been married for six months.
The couple are expecting their first child together, a daughter, but until now, fans have only believed they were engaged…not married.
The couple were wed in December in St. Louis County, Missouri, Nelly’s hometown on Dec. 27, 2023. Four months later, they revealed they had been engaged.
This week, Ashanti went viral when she revealed how Nelly proposed to her. The rapper proposed to her while they were both in bed.
“It was just such a beautiful, intimate moment,” she told ET, adding that it happened as they were watching TV in bed and she was wearing his T-shirt and boxers. “We were not dressy.”
“I cried. I gave him the biggest hug and kiss ever,” she added. “I FaceTimed everyone I know… I was overjoyed and shocked and surprised and happy kind of like all in one.”
