An arrest warrant has been issued by Kodak Black after the rapper failed to show up for a drug test.
Yak, whose real name is Bill Kapri, was initially arrested in July on charges of trafficking in oxycodone and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.
He was also charged with driving with an expired driver’s license and tags. Under Yak’s strict pretrial release terms, he must submit to substance abuse testing while the case is pending. This is the second time this year that Black has been issued an arrest warrant for violating the conditions of his pretrial release.
Back in 2021, Donald Trump commuted a three-year federal prison sentence the rapper had for forging documents used to purchase firearms. His lawyer, Bradford Cohen, was once a contestant on Trump’s “Celebrity Apprentice” show. Kapri had served almost half his sentence at the time of his release.
He must appear in court on Monday.
