Armie Hammer Denies Reports That Robert Downey Jr. Paid for His Rehab

Actor Armie Hammer has shot down reports that Robert Downey Jr. allegedly paid for his stint in rehab.

Hammer appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored where he was asked about his cannibalism scandal which led to him being canceled.

Morgan asked him about the rumors surrounding his rehab bill.

“No, he did not. He did not pay for me to go to rehab,” he responded.

Hammer refused to say how much support he’d received from the actor.

Hammer’s career was halted after he was accused of r-pe and sexual assault by several of his exes.

Hammer denied the allegations and last June, prosecutors declined to press charges against him. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office wrote that “there is insufficient evidence” to charge Hammer, citing “the complexity of the relationship and inability to prove a non-consensual, forcible sexual encounter,” spokesperson Tiffiny Blacknell said.

“I don’t want to bring anyone else into my situation. There are a number of people who have been extremely helpful, and I’m incredibly grateful,” he said.

However, he did say that Downey supported him “in the way where [when] anyone in Hollywood who suffers from any sort of addiction issues — whether it be alcohol or process addiction or drugs — decides to get sober, that guy will find you, and he will help you. It’s amazing.”
