Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Apollo Nida sat down with Trey Cribb for a candid chat on the Any Second Podcast, and the pair revealed some news nobody was expecting.
In the emotional sit-down, Apollo opened up about his time in prison and the shocking moment he learned he had a son he never knew about.
“I got a letter from a woman telling me I had a child,” he revealed. His then-fiancée, Sherien Almufti, actually broke the news to him during a visit.
“She was like, ‘We gotta check this out,'” Apollo shared. “So, she called my brother and flew down to Atlanta to see for herself. Turns out, the kid was in Atlanta the whole time.”

At the time, Apollo was around 34 and serving his sentence.
Once photos of the child were sent to him in prison, Apollo saw the family resemblance, but a DNA test cleared up any doubt.
“I couldn’t believe it,” Apollo said. “But it all made sense. He even reached out himself after noticing how much we looked alike.”
Eventually, Trey asks Apollo when he last spoke to his son, and Apollo responds, “Well, you really want to know? I’m speaking to him right now. You’re the guy,” shocking viewers.
