Andy Cohen is giving Bravo fans a clearer picture of what’s happening with two of the network’s most talked-about shows, The Real Housewives of New Jersey and The Real Housewives of New York City.
Appearing on a BravoCon panel in Las Vegas with Jeff Lewis, Cohen opened up about where both franchises stand and what needs to happen before cameras start rolling again.
Cohen said he isn’t ready to commit to a premiere timeline for RHONJ season 15. He explained that the series will return only when the atmosphere around the cast feels stable enough to move forward.
“When it’s right,” he said, adding that the long-standing rift between Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga has been a major factor behind the slow process.
The family’s fractured relationship has been central to the show for years, and Cohen noted that this time they need to navigate their situation privately.
“They have to do this for themselves. It should have nothing to do with us,” he said.
Earlier this month, Teresa and her husband, Luis Ruelas, met Joe and Melissa Gorga for lunch in New Jersey, a meeting that surprised many fans after their bitter season 14 fallout.
Cohen said he is watching to see how the recent reunion evolves, but did not offer clues about whether it will influence future casting or filming plans. Season 14 wrapped in August 2024 without a reunion taping because several cast members were unable or unwilling to face one another.
The season featured Teresa, Melissa, Dolores Catania, Jennifer Aydin, Margaret Josephs, Rachel Fuda, Danielle Cabral, Jackie Goldschneider, and Jennifer Fessler.
Cohen pointed to The Real Housewives of Atlanta as an example of how Bravo is thinking about its shows. He said the team took its time building the current Atlanta cast and praised additions like Angela Oakley, Shamea Morton, Phaedra Parks, and Kelli Ferrell. Finding the right mix was important to bringing RHOA back successfully, and Cohen suggested that RHONJ will need a similarly strong lineup before it returns.
