Andy Cohen Reveals He Was Targeted By Credit Card Scammers

Andy Cohen says he was recently a victim of credit card scammers.

“Listen, I’m not proud of this, but it’s enough that I really want to share it,” Andy said on Today. “But here, it happened to me, and I just don’t want it to happen to anyone else.”

e said he lost his bank card and then got an email that “looked like it was from my bank’s fraud alert.” Andy says he clicked the link and logged into his account, which gave the scammers his login info.

“Because I had lost my card, I was like, ‘Oh, this must be real.’ I didn’t click on the email address. They then asked me for my Apple ID. No one will ever ask you for your Apple ID. I said, ‘This is a scam.’ I got off. I didn’t think anything of it. I’d already given them access,” he said.

Andy admits that multiple “sizable wire transfers” were initiated out of his bank account and that he had even given them acccess to his phone which allowed them to approve the wire transfers when the bank.

“Whoever you are, I hate you, but you are very good at your job,” said Andy.
