Bravo exec Andy Cohen has responded to claims from The Hills stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt that they have not be invited to join any housewives shows because they are blacklisted…and that he was the one who blacklisted them.
“I feel like in the news it comes up all the time where you’re like, ‘Oh yeah, Spencer said you hate him’. I just gotta be clear. I don’t know them. I didn’t watch Laguna Beach, so I don’t even have much institutional knowledge of them,” said Andy.
He continued, “I have said that I thought it would be weird if they were on The Housewives because the same reason that I was saying that it would be weird if Snooki came on The Housewives. They’re so identified, not only with another show, but with another network. So, it’s like, ‘But wait a minute, you are supposed to be on Jersey Shore.’ It just makes it weird, so that’s the reason. They said that they thought it was because I was a big Lauren Conrad fan and I’m like — I’m kind of not.”
Is he right? Would they not work on The Housewives?
