The future of The Real Housewives of New Jersey is up in the air after Bravo hit “pause” on the series, but according to insiders, Andy Cohen to trying desperately to bring the show back to its former glory.

“They’ve hit the panic button,” an insider revealed to the National Enquirer. “The last thing Andy wants is another RHONY-style reboot disaster — but the current cast? It’s not working. And they know it.”

The New York reboot fell apart last season as viewers called season 15 the “darkest” season yet. The show’s villain, Brynn Whitfield, has announced that she will not be returning to the show.

Bravo is trying to figure out the next move, but the current cast of RHONJ is always at odds, and fans are tired of all the long-running dramas on the show, as they are unable to film together and rarely share any positive moments as a group.

Melissa Gorga says she won’t return if her sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice, does, but Tre says she’ll be returning “no matter what.”

“There’s a real concern that the toxicity is beyond repair,” the insider added. “There needs to be a fresh energy.”
