Bravo isn’t ready to give up on The Real Housewives of New York just yet, and executive Andy Cohen says he’s already interviewed almost a dozen potential cast members.
“I guess I need to say again, even though Bravo said it … I don’t know how else to say it: We are between seasons on [RHONY]. But what’s so interesting is, last week when I was here, the Bravo execs met with 10 potential new Real Housewives of New York,” he said on Andy Cohen Live.
He continued, “This is called the casting process between seasons,” he explained. “And it’s heavily underway, and that’s why nothing has been announced. So, I don’t know what to say. It’s really odd. [The rumor] just keeps going on and on. So there you go.”
Rumors circulated online that the franchise was canceled after last season’s dark ending, but the network quickly shut down those rumors, confirming that no final decisions had been made.
